Steger Bizzell was proud to provide engineering services for the reconstruction of Williamson County Road 111 (CR 111), a key roadway in southeast Georgetown that officially opened following a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 25, 2024.

The $22.5 million project, supported by the county’s 2019 road bond and $8.2 million from the City of Georgetown, transformed CR 111 (also known as Westinghouse Road) into a modern, two-lane road with widened shoulders, turn lanes, and improved intersections to enhance safety and mobility. The project also included the realignment of CR 110 and CR 105 to form a four-way intersection, as well as an extension of CR 110 from CR 111 to University Boulevard.
Construction began in February 2022 and addressed the rapid growth in southeast Georgetown. The upgraded roadway will improve transportation for residents and local schools, including the potential development of new educational facilities as the area continues to expand. In addition, preliminary plans are in place to develop CR 111 and the northern portion of CR 110 into a six-lane, divided urban roadway in the future.
Steger Bizzell engineers were honored to attend the ribbon-cutting alongside Williamson County leaders, city officials, and community stakeholders, celebrating a project that supports both safety and growth for the region.
