ENGINEER/EIT/GRADUATE ENGINEER

We are always looking for a dynamic person who is eager to gain experience in and lend his/her experience to a wide-ranging set of civil engineering projects from water/wastewater/utility design to land planning/design to sophisticated water resource modeling to road/bridge design, cost estimates, CIP projects, preparation of written technical reports and engineering studies. Candidate must have strong communication skills, be self-motivated and be willing to work with and advise project managers of potential design issues or recommend alternate design options.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in an engineering degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Preferred minimum of 3 years' experience in the field of public works, drainage, water, wastewater, land design and/or road/bridge design.
  • Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D/MicroStation/other modelling software.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, clients, and public agencies.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES will include:

  • Engaging in long range planning and design for capital improvement projects involving water, waste water, SCADA, road/bridge and other infrastructure.
  • Prepare/Evaluate/respond to proposals related to engineering projects. Will be involved in preparation of project cost estimates for competitive bidding purposes, review construction and engineering plans and evaluate performance of project vs. plan.
  • Making presentations, facilitating meetings, and compiling written reports to City Councils, County Commissioner’s Courts, Boards of Directors, committees, commissions, professional and technical personnel, and the public.
  • Involvement in evaluating engineering related issues for right-of-way acquisition, utility relocations, drainage and other infrastructure projects.
  • Involvement in grant projects and managing payment and reimbursement schedules.
  • Be called on to provide information and technical assistance to other office engineers, consultants, developers, private citizens and/or public clients.

Survey Instrument Operator - Georgetown, TX

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an energetic person who is eager to gain experience in and lend his/her expertise to our dynamic surveying division.  The successful candidate will have 1 year of experience in all phases of land surveying, construction, boundary and topographic surveying.

Candidate must have strong communication skills, be self-motivated, be willing to work with and advise project managers of potential design issues and work outdoors in all seasons.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred minimum of 1 year experience in the field
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, clients, and public agencies.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to work outside in all seasons
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. Background and drug check is required

RESPONSIBILITIES will include:

  • Maintain safety procedures
  • Oversee operation and maintenance of all surveying equipment
  • Ensure proper procedures are followed while collection and transferring field data to office
  • Help survey party chief in day-to-day activities
