PROJECT MANAGER (P.E.)
Experienced project management position available for projects ranging from water/wastewater and utilities, residential and commercial land development, water resources, road/bridge (TxDOT), and CIP projects. Candidate must have strong communication skills, be self-motivated and be willing to work with and advise design teams, public agencies, and clients on design issues or recommend alternate design options.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science in an engineering degree from an accredited college or university.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas or ability to obtain within three months with reciprocity.
- Minimum of eight years’ experience in the field of public works, drainage, water, wastewater, land design and/or road/bridge design.
- Ability to proficiently use AutoCAD Civil 3D/MicroStation/other modelling software.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, clients, contractors and public agencies.
- Maintain and grow client portfolio.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES will include:
- Engaging in long range planning and design for capital improvement projects involving water, wastewater, SCADA, land development, road/bridge and other infrastructure.
- Prepare, evaluate and respond to proposals related to engineering projects. Will assist in preparation of project cost estimates for competitive bidding purposes.
- Oversee and review construction and engineering plans and reports and evaluate performance of project vs. plan.
- Making presentations, facilitating meetings, and compiling and presenting written reports to City Councils, County Commissioner’s Courts, Boards of Directors, committees, commissions, professional and technical personnel, and the public.
- Involvement in evaluating engineering related issues for right-of-way acquisition, utility relocations, drainage and other infrastructure projects.
- Involvement in grant projects and managing payment and reimbursement schedules.
- Being called on to provide information and technical assistance to other office engineers, consultants, developers, private citizens and/or public clients.

- Preferred minimum of 3 years’ experience in CADD drafting or graduate of accredited university or technical college.
- Operate in Civil 3D platform (MicroStation experience a plus).

RESPONSIBILITIES will include:
- Support Survey Manager/staff with CADD technician duties
- Prepare field notes, draft survey plats/documents, prepare survey reports
- Ensure proper procedures are followed while collection and transferring field data to office
- Assist in scheduling survey crews
- Assist in the preparation of requests for proposals, respond to customer requests and questions
- Prepare plats and assist engineers in submittals for subdivision plats
