Perry Steger joined the firm in 1984 as project manager for water and wastewater design projects. Through his expertise in hydraulic system modeling, he designed economical expansions to existing water distribution systems.
In 1990, Mr. Steger formed Georgetown Systems, Inc. to develop and market Lookout, a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software system. Lookout is used today to control plants and manufacturing facilities around the world, including the City of Houston water treatment plants and distribution system, City of San Francisco water and wastewater, City of New Orleans (Jefferson Parrish) water, wastewater and stormwater management, and the municipal utilities on the Island of Oahu. In 1996, Mr. Steger’s firm merged with National Instruments of Austin, Texas. During his seven-year tenure at NI, he served most recently as Director of Product Strategy.
